This model is like a full size refrigerator/freezer in which the condensate drips into a small tray underneath in back and does not get removed. The plastic tray is mounted on top of the compressor and the heat causes the condensate to evaporate. I recommend that you wipe out the tray with a sponge to keep dust/pet hair from collecting.
