“Is there enough vertical shelf spacing for standard 12 oz water bottles or are the shelves too close?”

• For starters, you can lay bottles on the side. Next, depending on what brand of 12 oz bottles you buy they might be wider at the base and shorter in height, or narrower and taller ... I am not aware of any "standard" across brands. Finally, if you need more vertical height inside the fridge, you can remove one of the shelves -- that's what I did in order to fit a 2-gallon glass water dispenser inside.

• The shelves are too close, but nonetheless it is a great little fridge. I love my little fridge.

• No, shelves are too close. Wish you could stand bottles up. Won't even accommodate 8 oz coke bottles. But, the bottles lay down perfectly well. :)
