Nope, no automatic defrost. However, given that it's a mini-fridge, you can do the job with a hair dryer in less time than it would take for your ice cubes to melt.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it must be manually defrosted. However, it has been six months and mine still shows very little frost buildup, maybe 1/4"around the freezer compartment with normal everyday use. In dry climates I think the buildup would be even less.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it is not automatic defrost. The vast majority of fridges this size are not. However, many small fridges, especially the tiny "cube" ones, build up a very thick layer of frost around the freezer compartment very quickly, such that they need to be manually defrosted every month or two. So far, at least for me, this fridge does not seem to have that problem, but obviously your results may vary depending on its setting and the humidity of where it's used.
