The water doesn’t leak, it has a cap you have to unscrew to drain.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It only needs a hose hooked up to the drain spout if you plan on using the dehumidifier mode. When used on regular A/C cooling the water condensation is designed to evaporate off the condenser and I can attest that I never had to drain the catch pan since I’ve owned mine. They do recommend draining any residual from unit if it’s not in use for extended time periods. The drain spout is located on the lower rear and is a threaded cap style access port.

The unit will continuously drain moisture from the room, and a garden hose will be needed to drain the condensate from the unit when using Dry Mode on the appliance. We hope this helps. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a hose attachment, I have mine draining into a bucket that I have to empty, depending on how high the humidity is. The higher the humidity, the more I have to empty the bucket.
