• the panel is adjustable and can be cut. It gives instructions on how to adjust the size. I had to cut about 6 inches off mine for it to fit properly.

• Good day, Baria! It is important not to measure inside the right track or your piece will be too big to fit in the window. The minimum height is 10 inches for a 4-inch vent and 12 inches for a 6-inch vent. ~Lauren
