Hi Gabriel! Thank you for your question. We’re happy to clarify the electrical requirements for this range. For Model FCFI3082BS, the unit cannot be connected using only two hot (positive) wires. This range requires a neutral and a ground for proper and safe operation. While the two hot wires supply power to the heating elements, the electronic controls and display require a neutral connection, and a ground is required for safety and code compliance. Regarding your wiring question, a 6/2 cable with ground is not suitable, as it provides two hot wires and a ground, but does not include a neutral. This model requires a 4-wire connection (hot, hot, neutral, and ground), which is typically provided by a 6/3 cable with ground and a 4-prong outlet. We recommend having a licensed electrician verify your electrical setup and ensure it meets both the installation requirements and local electrical codes. - Reed
