Pull the drawer out until it stops.
Lift the front of the drawer until the stops clear the guides.
Pull the drawer to remove.
The top lip with the clock, also known as the control panel, can also be removed by following these steps:
Turn off the power to the range and unplug it from the wall outlet.
Remove the screws that secure the control panel to the range.
Pull the control panel forward and disconnect the wire harnesses.
Lift the control panel off the range.
However, removing these parts may not make the stove less tall, as they are attached to the main body of the range. To adjust the height of the stove, you need to use the leveling legs that are located at the bottom of each corner of the range. You can use a wrench or pliers to turn the legs clockwise to raise and counter-clockwise to lower. You can also use a bubble level to check if the stove is level.

The surface control knob was not completely turned to LITE. Push in and turn the surface control knob to lite until the burner ignites, and then turn the control knob to the desired flame size. The range power cord is disconnected from the outlet (for electric-ignition models only). Be sure the power cord is securely plugged into the power outlet. The circuit is broken. Check the breaker box or fuse box. Electrical power outage Burners may be lit manually. We hope this helps. ~Ruth
