“does the pan have to be the same size as the induction ring? I currently have a ge cooktop and unless the pan is 75% or larger the induction will not recognize thr pan and shut off. I heard if the cooktop has autodetect you can any size pan on it.”

Hi Gambler! Use the proper pan size. This appliance is equipped with one or more surface units of different sizes. Select cookware with flat bottoms that match the surface unit size. Using the proper cookware in the cooking area will improve efficiency. -Christian
