You have a pretty small space (not a value judgement, but 1000 sq feet isn't a huge space for a de-humidifier). If this is a high humidity place (but not wet), and there is at least some cross-flow of air between the rooms, you should be very successful with a 30-pint or even smaller device. 30 pints is a lot of water to remove from a 1000 square feet of space within 24 hours. I strongly urge you to find a way to empty the device automatically - either via a drain or via a small pump. If you have a frequent water ingress problem, you may want a unit that extracts 40+ pints per day. Of course, if you leave windows or doors open you'll likely never be able to reduce the humidity by much - it is impossible to dehumidify the entire planet with one of these things regardless of capacity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
