• A regular garden hose. 3 prong is needed for safety since water is involved.

• A hose is not required as it has a bin that you can just pull out and dump when it is full. But if you are going to hook it up to a hose, it has a little attachment that you screw the hose onto it. It looks like you can fit a regular hose onto it honestly.
