“Should this portable air conditioner shut off once it hits the target temperature? We've found that it runs CONSTANTLY, even when it no longer needs to cool. The continual running seems like it will be a huge extra cost on the electric bill.”

• According to Fridgedaire it should, but mine never did, so I returned it.

• No thermostat, I have the same issue, but it's worth it anyway. I still recommend product.

• Hi Rick! Typically, when the set temperature is reach, the air conditioner will shut off and the fan may continue to run to cool the compressor; which is normal. If your air conditioner is not shutting off, please contact us directly. -CiCi
