“Can this unit work with a window that is vertically sliding as opposed to the up and down?? If not, is there any type of makeshift solution, like screwing in plexi glass or something? Thanks!”

Plexiglass sounds like a great idea. Remember to put a filler around the outside edges so little critters can't get in too.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, we used it with a vertically sliding window. However, the piece that came with the unit was not tall enough. I used that piece and added plexiglass to it. The unit works very well for a small bedroom.
