Hi, Cunao! Thank you for your inquiry. It depends the features you are using. During the Dry mode, you will need a garden hose (sold separately) to drain the condensate from the unit. You are able to locate additional information in the Use and Care Guide on pages 8-16. We hope this information was helpful to you. -Ciara
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the manual, it depends on which hose and which drain. The higher one, which accepts a garden hose, should be left open and with a hose connected ONLY if you are keeping the unit on "dehumidify". The 1/2" plastic hose that came with the unit goes on the drain at the bottom of the unit, IF NEEDED, only when draining the unit at the end of the season or if the unit gets full. (If you are able and want to leave it on and hanging in a bucket, though, it shouldn't be a problem.) Just a note: The manual doesn't say anything about it, but you'll need to carefully put the unit up on a table or some such for that end-of-season draining; very difficult to avoid a mess otherwise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can leave the hose connected, but you don't need to. If you don't you may need to empty it once in a while.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Very little to no water has come out of mine. But, I leave it on just in case with a small shallow bowl attached to it. I also don't have it on the 'dry' feature. If I remember correctly, that feature may produce some water, as per the manual.
