This product was easy to unpack. Not too heavy to move upstairs by myself. However, the window kit that the discharge hose connects into was not tall enough to extend to the top of the window. So I used the window kit that came with the LG portable air conditioner that stopped working. Fortunately the discharge how diameter is the same on both products so I could replace the Frigidaire connector with the LG connector and everything worked great. The product cools the room quickly and is rather quiet. Overall it is a great portable air conditioner, well worth the price.

This air conditioner does a great job. However I was surprised at how much space it takes up. That’s because the exhaust hose is positioned out the window and instructions say not to have bends in the hose. If the exhaust hose was higher on the unit it would have been more flush with the window - more of a straight shot - and taken much less room space.

Have been using this portable air conditioner for about 2 months now, and have loved it. If you maintain the room closed this will maintain the room cool. There are several settings to cool the room including cool and fan. Installation is a bit tricky so much sure that you check the size of your window before buying this. You will need something to cut the kit to fit your window size. I recommend having a saw to help with this step. This step by far was the hardest part of the installation. Also make sure that you have space in front of the window for the AC unit. The length of the hose is so long and will need to be close to your window. It does take about an hour to cool the room down,

We’ve just gone through the hottest and dryest summer here in Alaska, this unit was a life saver. It was in the 80’s and 90’s for a good few weeks. It may not sound all that bad but when the sun never fully sets the heat is non stop. This unit kept us nice and cool. Setup is easy and the unit has wheels so moving it to different rooms is simple. The manual is pretty lack luster but setting up was pretty self explanatory. May pickup a second for our downstairs.

Pros: -Cools well -Looks nice/fancy -Remote lights up -Beep when changing settings is quieter than most I’ve used Cons: -Not that easy to set up because the window piece doesn’t seem to ‘lock’ into modern vinyl windows very well and I didn’t want to drive screws into my new window -Much louder than expected overall. When the unit is in fan only mode it’s very quiet, but I don’t ever have it in fan only mode because it’s an A/C. When the A/C compressor is running I measured 60 dB from 8 feet away with the fan on low. It measured 70 dB from 1 foot away with the fan on high (did not have the air blowing directly into phone mic).

I read thoroughly from the review and q&a that it fits into any kind of windows. However,, the window slider kit is too long to fit my window which the width is around 23.5 inch. There’s no other substitute solution to this from the manual. A real DISSAPOINTMENT.

I have been wanting to buy a portable air conditioner for a while and to my luck this one was on sale. It works great. I gave it 4 stars because it barely fits my window. The window slides from left to right and due to how the hose connects to the panel and my window closes, sliding to the left, there is a gap. I used the foam to fill it in but that means I can't secure it to the window frame. If I flip it then the hose is too short. I will eventually buy a longer house but for now it works. I just take it out the window when I leave the house. It sounds like a pain but it isn't. The room gets nice and cold. Every 250 hours it will prompt you to clean the filters very easy to do. Watch videos for installation. I google any product they are all very similar. My mother likes to be hot and I love to be cold. Works great, even better if you close the door. My room is small 15 x 12. The sound is a bit noticeable but I always have a fan on and it is about 3 times as loud. So it blends in. When it is off you can tell because it is quieter. Still a Great product!

I was apprehensive to purchase this based on some bad reviews but glad I did. Cooling- at first it took an hour or so to cool down the room but thats because the room (inside) was almost 95 degrees here in Vegas. The room is 14x12 making it around 170 SQ feet. Since the room eventually cooled down, it now keeps it comfortable when it's 110 out and in a top floor bedroom. It quickly cools down the room when turned back on hours later. Set up- ehh.. The instructions are super confusing when it comes to attaching the window piece and moldings. The window piece was also made to be used with a window that slides open from left to right but my window is right to left. I still made the piece work but it's on backwards. Still does the job but ended up raising the hose to the top of the window instead of the bottom. See photo. As for the pesky hose falling out like everyone claims, NO issue as of a day later. I did notice that the end of the hose that goes to the window needs to be pulled into the hard plastic attachment that then snaps into the window. What you need to do is remove the black metal grill, then reach in and begin to pull the hose into the hard plastic piece. Then attach that piece to the window outlet until you hear a snap. In my opinion, the hose should be another two feet. All in all, great AC unit so far.

I left Fl for Ma to get away from the heat, just in time for a heat wave there. This new portable room AC unit was a life saver. It was easy to install and I liked that it didn’t take up the entire window like older units can. The remote was control came in handy at night as the temperature came down too. Two things I wish were different though. The electric cord could be longer. They don’t recommend using an extension cord and the length of its cord really limits where you place it in a room. Also, the hose that vents the unit to the outside through the window is restrictively short. All in all, though, for the price, this was a good purchase for my needs - cooling the bedroom I used. I was more than pleased with it and glad I could leave it there for my family to use after I left.

Great for a small room. It will bring down the temp on a very hot day (90s +), but will not be able to cool below 75-76. On a warm day, it will drop the temp considerably more. With the fan on low it's fairly quite, about what you'd expect for a portable A/C. With the fan on higher settings, you'll have to turn a TV louder to be able to hear the dialog. Overall, it performs as you'd expect. Installation was a pain, because it can only be installed with the vent on the right side of the window. The curved plastic from that goes from the hose to the opening in the plastic piece that fits in the window was too short to fit in our window, due the the windowsill. Also, the adjustable piece that fit in the window, had to be cut with a hacksaw to fit. Be prepared, the venting hose, disconnects too easily from the unit and window, both.

Got this last summer since we couldn't get the loft area on the other side of the house cool enough. Works just fine and you can even automate it you want to. A bit noisy but you eventually forget its there once it starts cooling the room. I had placed it on a small table so that the drain house can go through the window and I don't have to worry about draining it in the Houston heat. Plan where you want to put it first so that the exhaust hose doesn't need to moved much. There exhaust hose easily disengages from the machine if its not properly connected.

One of the lowest price Portable air conditioners I was able to find. AC cools the room nicely. I do notice it has a funky smell when using. I’ll enter the room and it smells weird. The set up is confusing since the instructions aren’t too helpful. It is pretty loud. But for the price, I don’t mind it. Lol

Our AC has been dying since mid june right as summer was getting the hottest. We had our home warranty company out many times during this period but our ac kept dying frequently and we needed a solution until it was working appropriately again. We bought this one first and it works really well at cooling our bedroom down. Depending on how hot it is it might not be able to reach 70f of it's 100f out but it definitely makes the room tremendously more comfortable than without out. We bought another unit from a different company and this one is significantly more powerful and better at reaching desired temperatures in the room. It is not loud, when it's on it makes a very tolerable hum and more like white noise since we usually have a fan on at night anyway. It comes with a continuous drain hose which our other unit did not which is great. It doesn't put out a lot of water UNLESS it's very humid. We've run it on days where its rained recently and this unit can pump out a lot of water on certain days. We bought a big bucket for it to drain in to so its easy to dump and replace just keep in mind it can put out a lot of water if it's humid or recently rained. This unit is absolutely worth the money we paid, we were lucky and it was on sale and I do not regret it one bit. If you need a temporary or even long term solution get this thing. I'd also like to point out that our room window opens horizontally and not vertically and it works perfect but it did not come with enough insulation type stuff so we bought some extra weatherstripping and tape to prevent losing air outside. We also have an HoA and if you can I'd suggest a window unit, they're more efficient and work better cooling a room for less money than these things but these are supposed to be compliant with HoAs so we gave it a shot. No nasty letters yet so i think we're okay. If you have an HoA get this unit, if don't I'd suggest a window unit unless your window opens horizontally.

Purchased this to supplement the air conditioning in my home since I have a large home and really only wanted the master bedroom cooled more in the night. This was a little difficult for me to install as it vents out a window and the window flap needed cut with a saw to fit my opening. Not horrible, but I didn't have a saw and had to use one from a friend. Had a little problem getting the vent to stay hooked in to the rear of the until; my husband finally got it together. This being said, it was a minor hiccup to getting started and doesn't diminish my review of the actual function of the product. Other reviews note the noise - and it does sound a lot like a hotel unit in volume. It's definitely not whisper quiet. Because I read other reviews and knew there was going to be noise associated with using this product, I am not unhappy about the noise. It DOES WORK to cool my rather large master bedroom to an embarrassing cool temperature... exactly what I wanted! The information stated about the square footage that this unit will cool and I was right about the maximum. It cools within a couple hours to my wonderfully cold temperature which is a full ten degrees less than what the rest of the home is now set to at night. Love it! As it happens, my house air conditioner broke the week after getting this unit and with 100 degree temperatures; this unit saved me from going to a hotel to sleep. So very happy to have this for my cold night sleep and the emergency back up. It is compact enough to store in a closet for the winter. Very happy with this purchase. Not sure how it has impacted my electric bill because the July bill was higher than the previous year, but the month was also the hottest ever recorded in GA for July. Again, I think this unit has been one of the best purchases I've ever "splurged on".

I purchased this to cool my bedroom during the summer months. My central air system just doesn't cut it for the upstairs bedrooms. I simply turn this unit on about an hour before I go to bed and let it run through the night. It runs a bit louder than I expected, but not a problem for me. It solved my hot bedroom issues so I'm satisfied.
