The frame for the panel slides into rails on the side of the air conditioner, so the height can be adjusted. The panel itself must be cut to fit. They recommend a small saw, but I cut mine with a sharp box cutter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is not an accordion type, it’s a piece of material that you cut after you measure and it fits into a panel. You could get your own plexiglass to make it see thru and stronger but what they give is fine for me.

The air conditioner comes with the plastic window panel that fills the open space above the air conditioner. Please see page 5 of the installation guide for more information on how to install the plastic window panel. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will have to buy, separately, whatever material you want to enclose the area above the aircon. I normally get a clear acrylic or plexiglass piece to fit. There are accordion pieces in the box for the sides of the unit.
