• Hello, George! Yes, you can place the wine bottles on the bottom shelf, and this unit also has adjustable shelves. Multi-position adjustable interior shelves can be moved to any position for larger or smaller packages. -Rox

• You’d sacrifice a lot of space to do it as shelf adjustments don’t allow for incremental adjustments. You’d need to remove one shelf.
