A:AnswerThank you for your inquiry! The oven vent is located on the unit itself below the back guard. Touching the surfaces in this area when the oven is operating may cause severe burns. Also, we recommend that you do not place plastic or heat-sensitive items on or near the oven vent. These items could melt or ignite. We hope this information proves to be of assistance, we are also welcome to receiving any concerns or question you may have via this website’s Q&A forum.
-Best regards-

A:AnswerLuckily the outside of the stove doesn't get hot at all. I have a 1 year old who is constantly in the kitchen and the oven door, handle, and none of its parts have ever been hot enough to burn. Warm to alert you it is on, but not hot.
A:AnswerYes. We converted our stove to gas and it does still work if the lights ever go out. Win.
And the oven does have a light switch to view what is being cooked through the glass window
