Hi, Paul. Thanks for your question. The right dehumidifier for your home mostly depends on the dampness of your room. Based on the size of your room, this model should work perfectly. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am using my unit in a basement like area that has a bathroom, 2 bedrooms and a very large central living area. I would estimate it to be at least 1000 square feet in area. Ceilings are 9 feet. My basement floors are no longer sticky and it smells much better after about a week of using it. We shall see how thus affects the black and yellow mold problem I have.
