• I doubt whether this can be used as a in wall a/c. its built to be placed outside the window so that there is proper ventilation and drainage. You would need to buy the in wall unit specifically for the purpose you are inquiring about.

• Yes. You may have to fit a panel above unit if the opening is larger than the A/C size.
