“Does the unit turn completely off when reaches desired temp? I have one from GE now that is 5,050 but the fan keeps running even when the compressor stops putting the air conditioned air into the room. I'd like one that uses less energy and stops running when the cool temp is reached. Will this do that?”

• No. But it does have a timer that you can set it to turn off in 2-3 hours if you like? I use it sometimes it works well.
