“Is this air conditioner quiet when the compresser goes on and when it is running ?”

• This air conditioner is quiet when in use. It operates at 47.6 decibels at the low end which would be equivalent to the sound of a quiet stream, and 54.5 decibels on the high end which be close to the sound of a coffee pot brewing.

• Quiet is a relative term. I don't have any issues with the noise level of this unit and find it no louder than your average window unit. I sleep with it on with no problem and does not impede my ability to listen to the TV while keeping the volume low. Hope this helps.
