I am extremely pleased with this unit. I have a west facing back room that even with central air would not cool down; it was always 7+ degrees warmer than the rest of the house. This unit was easy to install; I'm a woman and had no problem lifting it into the window. Within 15 minutes of running, the room was noticeably cooler and it's nearly 100 degrees outside! I have had other Frigidaire products from fridges to washers and now an air conditioning unit and have never had any problems.

After reading many negative reviews about how noisy this A/C is, I was a bit nervous since this is for my 12 month olds bedroom. Upon installation and turning it on for the first time it was rather noisy. Upon investigation I soon found that it was only the door that folds down in the front which houses the air filter which was rattling. I took a piece of the thin weather stripping that came with the A/C and used it to cushion the door and the sound was gone! The unit has worked great and I've considered buying more for the other bedrooms in the house as well. The weight of this A/C was also nice since I was able to install it on my own. You can see in the picture that I've attached where I placed the thin piece of black weather stripping between the door and the unit to mitigate the excess noise.

I bought this same unit 2 years ago for my bedroom/entire apartment. I live in a medium sized apartment and the one unit wa great for keeping my entire place cool in the summer. The one exception was in the kitchen (other side of the apt. from the bedroom) when I cook (I'm a PT baker). This year I bought this unit (same exact model) for the kitchen. Now my entire apartment is perfect! I have both units on Energy Saver so depending on which side of the apartment gets hot/cool, the units alternate most of the time. During the heat-wave 90+ both units would stay on but I could always reduce my energy cost and turn the one in the kitchen off. The only reason I'm not giving this unit 5 stars is because the fan can be kind of noisy when it's running. It's not a big deal because I like the sound when I'm sleeping but I do have to turn up the TV a bit more when it's on.

My bedroom is about 16x15. This ac does a good job in cooling the air quickly. The noise it emits is not too loud but might disturb a really light sleeper. I've just been spoiled by the ac in my vacation home which doesn't make any noise. FYI - This A/C is unbalanced so i had to offset the legally required support brace to the left. If i have to buy another ac in the future might have to reinstall the support brace , if its balanced.

Not on the very quiet side but cools bedroom well. Timer and Energy saver features work well.

This A/C works great and keeps me nice and cool during the summer. It even has a remote and a timer that is very convenient!

Installed this unit in a 13x14 room almost 2 years ago and it still gets ice cold. This model is a little more expensive because of extra features such as remote control and digital interface but it is worth it. At night you can control the thermostat without getting out of bed and it will keep the room at a steady temp.

I bought two of these units because of my prior experience with Frigidaire, and was not disappointed. These units were easy to install, cooled the room quickly, and with proper installation are very quiet, which is important especially in a bedroom. The cord is long enough to reach nearby outlets without an extension.They also have an excellent energy efficiency rating. As a bonus, they have a remote control and a variety of modes to choose from. I set mine on energy saver (climate control). You just set the temp you want the room to be, and the compressor only goes on when needed. Excellent products.

This really keeps the room cool at a very comfortable level. Install was easy since it came with its own kit. Now I can enjoy some reading instead of always using my book as a fan.

Cools very well for a smaller size air conditioner. Remote control is definitely great !!

very pleased with the price since I bought this "open item", otherwise I would have buyers remorse. It is efficient at keeping the room cool. It was very quiet at first but after about a week it became really loud and is showing no signs of getting any quieter.

reasonable price, not heavy and easy to set up. Easy to control. It's a little noisy, but you can not ask too much for a window AC. Over all, a good buy.

The product is sturdy and runs moderately quiet on high setting. Remote is easy to use. For the price this an excellent air conditioner, and it looks good in my window.

Its awesome and cant ask for anything better and it keeps my house nice and cold and my five month old sleeps comfortably with no problems.

This ac is affordable and keeps my room cool but is much louder than other units.

Love the eco settings. It turns itself off when selected temp is reached. Great remote. I plan to replace my other 2 window ac's with this next year. Not very loud. Compared to the one I replaced, this is much quieter.
