Good day, Joe B! The Dry mode on your Frigidaire FHWC063TB1 acts like a dehumidifier plus mild cooling. Here's how it works: The compressor cycles on and off based on temperature and humidity, with the fan running mostly at Auto/low speed, pulling moisture out of the air while still providing some cooling. Essentially, it prioritizes moisture removal, but because the coils are cold, the room still cools somewhat. This model does not include a fresh-air/vent lever—the specifications explicitly state "Exhaust Vent: No". That means there’s no control to open or close a vent for taking in outside air. Some Frigidaire models (like part number FHWC063TC1) do feature a fresh-air lever. PDFs note a “Fresh Air Vent Control” lever on those builds. But for the FHWC063TB1, it’s not included per the manufacturer's specs. - Maico
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dry mode is the setting to empty the air conditioner of excess water every time it rains. The opening for the water to run out of the unit is located nearly in the middle of the unit. I found nothing in the instructions for whether or not to tilt the air conditioner.
