• My downstairs is about 1100 sq ft and it really does a great job. Its not all open areas but it manages to pull in a ton of moisture the first few days and then keeps everything dry. I would totally recommend it.

• There should be no issues in an area of 1,000 sq ft unless you actually have a VERY high water table that keeps your basement wet.
