“What is the minimum of square feet this unit should be used in? Dehumidifier sizing charts seems to be all over the map. A previous answer from Frigidaire stated this unit could go up to 3,500 sq. ft. I have a basement that is 1200 sq. ft. by 8 ft high. Would this unit be to big for this space? I'm guessing my basement is somewhere between Moderately Damp and Very Damp. On another site they stated the practical sq. ft. for this unit is 1,200 feet.”

You would be fine with this unit but it should be set to continuous mode so you are not dumping the bucket every day
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unit will not be too big. Actually you may want a second unit. My basement is identical to yours and though this unit lowers the humidity, 2 units would probably be better. I may be buying a second, possibly smaller unit in the future.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this unit in an 800 sq foot basement and it works wonderfully. There are two separate rooms and it moves the air through both rooms. This space is a piece of cake for the unit so you could probably get a smaller one but this unit would take care of it with ease.
