“If you are using it on "cool" with the hose connected do you still have to drain the a/c unit or it doesnt built up water since the hose is connected?”

• When using it as an AC with the exhaust tube connected it will vent the moisture outside. (In particularly humid locations the unit may still have to be manually drained but I haven't had that happen with this unit.)

• I use it basically for the A/C. And we use it all summer and barely is any water to drain, or empty

• The air conditioner requires a drain hose even if it is in AC mode.
