• This unit is rated at 11.9 Amps at 115V AC. 1 Amp = 120 Watts at 120 Volts (AC). Therefore 12 Amps = 1440 Watts at 120 Volts (AC). Once started, the AC can run on ~1500 Watts/12 Amps. However, the start-up draw (the amount of power the unit needs to initially start-up) usually exceeds the operating draw by up to 20%. Start-Up power required= 15 Amps = 1800 Watts at 120 Volts (AC). I would recommend using an AC inverter capable of supplying 15 Amps/1800 Watts for this AC.
