“My open window is only 20 inches wide. Even though it states should be 23 would this work if we just use one of the side panel things (dont kntand not on the other to make it fit the window? We currently do this with our current one with no issues. Thanks”

Hello, Darlene. For this model, the maximum window width is up to 36 inches. The minimum window height of 15 1/2 inches and and a depth of 21 1/2 inches. We highly suggest to have an opening that is within the dimension of the unit. - Maria
