“Are over-the-range microwaves able to be placed on a countertop?”

• I actually used my over-the-range Fridgidaire on my counter for a few weeks before I installed it. It has little feet on the bottom so I assume that they design it to work this way. Just make sure to put the cardboard spacers back in before you install it over the oven (if you ever do). I think they help make sure the door does not get bent during the install. Good luck!

• No. The microwave has a over the range vent built in. Also counter top versions are generally less expensive.
