“When I push 30 sec cook, the vent/fan does not come on. Why do you have to push the fan button for it to work? Wouldn't it be automatic??”

• The Vent Fan is NOT part of the microwave. That fan is to exhaust what is being cooked on the range/stove. Whatever needs to happen to make the microwave work is completely independent of the Vent Fan. Hope this helps:)

• The vent fan doesn't work because the Frigidaire product is absolute junk. The blower motor to vent from the back is defective. Ours broke and we bought TWO new ones, each did not work. Good luck. We're returning the second new microwave because of this problem.
