Top Freezer My question was basically: Has Frigidaire corrected the problem with the freezer not defrosting and freezing over? I have a Gallery 20.5 top freezer now that is 17 years old and is not cooling the bottom fresh foods compartment and s frosting in the freezer compartment. I realize given the age that I may have to purchase a new one and am considering purchasing the newer version of similar model and style. I do not want to go ahead with this until I know if you have corrected the problem such as installing a device (heating element) that would eliminate the frosting. Your Answer: answer 1 After 17 years to fine service, I would recommend you replace your refrigerator. New ones are much more economical to run and why waste dollars of needless electric bills?
