Is there a way to turn off the ice maker in the freezer while keeping the ice maker on the door on? Do not like that it takes up space in the freezer. null

Just above the bin in the freezer you will find the ice maker and it has an on / off switch. We leave ours off and we get an extra storage bin in the freezer. The ice maker on the door continues to work fine.

yes, I own the GRFC2353AF and  leave it off which allows me to and use the ice collection bin to store food.   I turn it on for parties when I need tons of ice.

There's no separate turn off of ice maker inside of refrigerator.when you turn off ice maker,it turns off all ice on the refrigerator.
