Easy question. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being as loud as my old dishwasher, I would give the unit a score of 3.

I think 48dcbl is the official rating, much quieter than our 8 year old washer

This dishwasher has a 52dBA rating, so it is pretty quiet.
