“Conns just left my house saying they could not hook up my dishwasher becouse it wasnt a hard wire or something like that, So i told them to take it back, I have a switch to turn the washer on and off with, can ya"ll hook this dishwasher up in my house”

I would guess that you do not have a garbage disposal in your sink. If you have a wall mounted switch that you are using to turn a dishwasher on and off, you have the dishwasher plugged into the wrong half of the duplex outlet under the sink. Usually, this duplex outlet is wired for one outlet always on and one outlet wired thru a switch ( for a garbage disposal )
