Fingerprints on Stainless Steel Some stainless steel appliances tend to show fingerprints easily. The Frigidaire refrigerators I was able to see at Best Buy (in store) seemed to have a finish that did not show fingerprints. However, they didn't have this particular model. Is this a standard stainless steel finish, or the fingerprint resistant one?

It is a smudge-free stainless on the Frigidaire. You can literally wipe away anything on it with just water. We previously had stainless without the smudge-free finish and it was next to impossible to keep the fingerprints off. You could just look at wrong and a fingerprint would appear.

This one is smudge proof. I highly recommend the smudge proof. It is a little more expensive but worth it in the long run!

This is the "resists fingerprints one" I love it! With a husband and two sons that constantly have their hands on it, it is the sole reason I chose this one!!! I take a damp cloth and wipe down any food from their hands and it leaves nothing! It still has the stainless look...

It's a special clearcoat they put on the stainless. I believe it's only the Gallery models that have it.
