QuestionIs this cook top able to have a downward vent? My space does not allow for an overhead vent. Is a downward vent possible?

QuestionHow many inches does this extend down below the countertop surface? We have a drawer underneath the cooktop cut-out.

- Answer It hangs down about 3 inches below the bottom of the counter top, It didn't work with my drawers, I really like the cooktop so I just eliminated the drawers.

QuestionWe currently have a downdraft Jennair gas cooktop but want to replace with a gas cooktop and hood. Is there a minimum amount of space required between the counter/cooktop and bottom of cabinet where hood will be installed?

QuestionDoes this cooktop come with the ventilation system that lifts up out of the cooktop or will I need to buy a hood for the cooktop as well? If not, am I stating that feature correctly? I'm looking for a cooktop that doesn't require the overhead vent hood.

- Answer Doesn’t have a updraft vent, but if placing below microwave you might have a vent fan on that especially if it’s a convection.

QuestionHow much distance is required from the front of the cutout to the front edge of the cabinet? We've got 2 1/2 inches and want to be sure that's sufficient.
