“Shopped for a cooktop at Best Buy and was told technician can come to house to measure for new cooktop (going from downdraft to reg. 30" cooktop) to make sure granite opening is ok and to advise if new ductwork will be necessary. Is this correct info?”

We just purchased this. We measured our old one which was 30”. This one fit perfectly fine into what we had with extra room to spare if needed. You can print off the specs and give it to your granite guy. You can also just lift up the one you have and measure the cut out that’s previously there.
