The grates are designed to be fully removable for easy access to the surface underneath; however, there is no need to disassemble or take apart the entire grate assembly beyond simply lifting them off once the unit is completely cool.
After removing the grates, you can clean the stainless steel surface with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. For best results, dry the surface thoroughly to maintain the finish. We recommend avoiding abrasive cleaners, bleach, or ammonia-based products, as these may damage the stainless steel.
