Hi, JJ! Thank you for showing interest in our products. The 2 large burners have a diameter of 6.5inches. The inner ring on each cooking zone indicates the smallest pan size for the zone. The outer ring on the cooktop graphic indicates the largest pan size for that zone. Please remember that cookware that is too small for a zone may not activate the cookware detection sensor. Cookware that is much larger than a cooking zone will still cook, but it may be slower and uneven. If your cookware is not a perfect match, it is best to use a zone a little smaller than the bottom of the cookware. We hope this information was helpful to you. -John
