Yes but you have a choice between the two. The convection setting naturally cooks the food faster and you should adjust the oven temp & baking time to account for this. It's really a nice looking oven.

Yes! It has a button that says quick bake. It is a fan that runs. My cookies came out perfect! We baked some cubed potatoes in half the time they normally take. I love it. Had it two weeks now.
