• I believe they're cast iron which isn't DW safe. This is all that is included in the manual for cleaning the grates; Use a non-abrasive plastic scrubbing pad and mild abrasive cleanser.

• Hi, Michigander! Stovetop grates and griddles are not dishwasher safe, but some enamel-coated grates may be. It's best to hand wash them. Hope this helps! - Patrick
