“Can you share the length of the cord for plug in ? And is there any reason it couldn't be plugged in a side outlet vs. one directly behind it? Please see image, and where the red arrow is pointing to the desired outlet ~ Thanks ~”

Hello, Mkat! Thanks for reaching out! The length of the power cord is about 72 inches and it is located in the Lower Rear Corner. We recommend checking your user manual for proper installation guidelines. We hope this helps! ~Sam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is a six-foot cord. Check the specifications of the refrigerator on Best Buy's website. For my installation, the plug was in the wall behind the cabinet so I used a hold saw and cut a 1 1/2" hole in the side rear of the cabinet large enough for the plug end to pull through. There was no backing of the cabinet. See the photo attached. But if you have a cabinet with a back on it just use a hole saw to open up the cabinet so the plug could go through. The best way is to cut out a 2" X 4" square opening and expose the complete outlet box and cover. This would be the preferred way.
