on mine they seem to have about 20 degrees between each setting high is about 213, 3 is 156-158, 4 is 174-175. so that would be a huge jump at least on mine. i hae found my setting to be perfect so far. such as rice just get the water boiling stir in rice and set it to 3 and it is perfect. I used a thermopen and a pan with water in it and just took the high temp off each setting. I didnt do all of them just a few to see how it was going.
