The cooktop surface is induction that automatically detects the size of your pan to only send heat to whatever small, medium or large pan you are using. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has an induction stovetop. There are four induction units. They directly heat the pot by induction, so the pot must be able to attract a magnet. Aluminum pots won’t work. But with the right pots, the stovetop heats food or boils water very quickly and is very controllable and efficient. It does make a pretty faint humming sound that we don’t find objectionable. The oven is a convection oven. It has a fan that circulates air inside the oven. We recommend the model that has the control panel in the back. It’s too easy to inadvertently lean against touch controls that are located in the front.
