does this unit need a sleeve? null

No the unit includes what is needed for a wall and window installation. I replaced a wall unit with this one. Removed the unit from the exterior shell and it bolts to the framed opening and then slide it back in.

You can use the sleeve that it comes with if you buy the brackets ... I slid the entire unit into the old sleeve that was there and it fit perfectly so I didn’t need the brackets. You will need to buy the plug drain kit possibly which I found on eBay for about 8 dollars and then bought clear hosing at Home Depot :) hope this helps !
