I've had it for nearly 2 years and run it cool all the time. It stays in my home YOGA room... a room I cleared out and turned into a small exercise space when all the gyms closed and I needed to do SOMETHING to work out. It is great for keeping a few cool beverages in and I have unplugged it once since I bought it. I was surprised to find that I actually had a bit of ice condensed in the back inside that has a spot of metal. WIth that, it may be a good idea to unplug it for a day or two every year.
