Once you open your almond milk, most likely it should be consumed in 10 days or so - no matter where you have it. My cooler is really COOL inside - and cold enough for almond milk open for the amount of time it is good in a regular fridge.

There is no thermostat and the unit is designed to run continuously. This unit is intended to be used for cooling canned and bottled beverages and snacks and is not intended to be used to store perishable food items.
