Do you need to buy the guarantee? null

I usually don't buy extended warranties, but this time I did since Best Buy offers a good one and i was using mine for a park event in which many people where going to use it.

I purchased the extended guarantee because the camera was a special birthday gift for our granddaughter's 13th birthday. We wanted the extra warranty coverage.
