“Will the lens that it comes with this camera be able to zoom in for such events as track meets or a event taking place in a middle school auditorium?”

I'm in the events world and the first pictures came out great with the included lens. As I learn more about the camera I expect only improvement. I'm very impressed with the low light indoor photos.

You can use the lens that comes with it but it can become blurry if its from a long distance.

Track meets I think not. An auditorium maybe if you’re not wanting close up pictures. 45mm focal length is too short.
