It can be used as a watch, but it doesn’t count steps.

Hi, I’ve only used it for golf and I’m not aware that it will track the number of steps taken daily. But at the end of a golf round it will show how far you walked. As an example, I played 9 holes on a Par 3 course and it showed 1.9 miles.
